RCC Foundation seeks outstanding alum nominations
April 2, 2012
If you know a Rogue Community College graduate who is making a significant contribution to the community, working successfully in his or her chosen field, and is an inspiration to others, the RCC Foundation wants to recognize that studentís accomplishments.
"RCC has a large number of alums who have contributed a great deal to our community, and the RCC Foundation is committed to honoring these graduates," said Jennifer Wheatley, foundation executive director. To that end, the RCC Foundation established an annual award in 2008 to celebrate an outstanding alumnus of the college.
"We know hundreds of people who have graduated from RCC who are positively impacting our region, either through their job or their volunteer work within the community, and we want them to know that they are always part of the RCC family," Wheatley said.
Information about award criteria and a nomination form can be found at www.rccfoundation.org.
Nomination forms should be returned to the foundation by April 27. The winning nominee will be honored at the RCC Foundationís annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony, scheduled at 7 p.m. May 23 at the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center.
The RCC Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the college by awarding student scholarships and direct project grants in Josephine and Jackson counties. The foundation currently manages an endowment valued at more than $6 million and accepts gifts and bequests, which are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
