The RCC Foundation has some exciting news...we will be doing a fall scholarship process!

Opening Date:  September 27, 2010

Deadline Date:  October 25, 2010  5:00 PM

Once the process has opened, you will be able to access the STARS online application through a link on this page.  Paper applications will not be accepted.  A completed application must include:

 

-          A one page personal statement essay discussing your field of study, why you chose it and what your goals are and any personal information that you think would be helpful for the scholarship committee to know about you (i.e. barriers you have overcome, family, personal experiences, etc.).

-          Two recommendation forms to be completed by an instructor, employer, counselor/advisor, etc.

-          Community activities (i.e. volunteer work, extracurricular activities, sports, clubs, etc.)

 

Recommendation forms can be downloaded from the link below.  Feel free to start working on those now.  The forms can be returned to the foundation office in H building on Redwood Campus or by mail to the address on the form.  Please be sure your name is written on the envelope.

 

If you completed a scholarship application in our spring process, you do not need to fill out another one.  Your application will remain on file for one year and will be considered for any new scholarship money.  However, if you left your application incomplete and you would like to improve upon your previous efforts, you are welcome to apply again.

 

The foundation encourages any student who did not submit an application in the spring process to take advantage of this rare opportunity!
