Bennett Legacy Society

Harvey Bennet

The Dr. Harvey and Natasha Bennett Legacy Society has been named in honor of former Rogue Community College president Harvey Bennett and his wife Natasha.  Dr. Bennett began his career at RCC in 1984 as dean. In 1985, he was name acting administrator and formally appointed as the third president of RCC in 1986. He continued to teach geography classes while building a reputation as a fair and caring leader. During his tenure, Harvey was instrumental in the renovation of the Redwood Campus, and the annexation of Jackson County including the establishment of the Riverside campus. Retiring in 1999, Harvey remained actively involved with community service projects in the Rogue Valley, including the RCC Foundation, through his passing in 2012.

The Legacy Society was established in 2012 with a commitment of a planned gift from Harvey and Natasha. Their hope is for their gift and others to maintain and continually improve the academic excellence of Rogue Community College. Please join the Bennetts in supporting RCC and leaving your legacy for years to come.

Harvey and Natasha BennetThe success of Rogue Community College depends, in part, upon members of the community who share in our vision to continue to strengthen and advance our college and its mission. The Dr. Harvey and Natasha Bennett Legacy Society honors and recognizes the individuals who have chosen to benefit RCC through charitable gift plans.

Members of the Legacy Society share a strong common bond of generosity ensuring RCC’s continued excellence in the future. Their commitments of today will benefit the college's students, faculty, and programs for many generations to come.

Ways to Give

Some RCC alumni, retirees, employees and friends have found that they can do more for the college than they ever thought possible by considering planned gifts. A planned gift can take many forms:

  • Bequests/Wills: You can include a gift to the Rogue Community College Foundation in your will or trust.
  • Beneficiary Designation for Life Insurance or Retirement Assets: You can name the Rogue Community College Foundation as the beneficiary of a new or current life insurance policy or retirement account and direct your future gift to the program of your choice.
  • Retained Life Estate: You can contribute your residence, vacation home or land now while retaining the right to use and occupy the property for life. At your death, the RCC Foundation will own the property in its entirety.

Donor Recognition

Rogue Community College Foundation recognizes the significant role that planned giving donors play and is pleased to pay special tribute to their philanthropic leadership and vision.

Membership recognition for donors includes the following:
  • Name is published in the RCC Foundation Annual Report
  • Exclusive invitation to an annual luncheon for Legacy Society members
  • Recognition gift
  • Special invitations to other college events and seminars

Member names of the Legacy Society will be published in college publications from time to time. You may remain an anonymous member of the Legacy Society if you so desire.
